The Wicker Pedestal & Urn. As with every Mainly Baskets Home wicker and rattan piece, our Pedestal and Urn were inspired by ancient times. The column pedestal was dreamt up by the ancient Greeks and later widely adopted by the Romans in 2 AD, and the urn shapes that we reference date back to as early as 7000 BC. We debuted our first wicker urn in the 1980s and have reissued it every few years as trends come back around. Each piece is a statement on its own or can be coupled with other Mainly Baskets Home styles to further elevate a space. Our braided urn can be used on it's own or propped upon it's beautiful mate, the Braided Square Pedestal. Fill it with a fern or your favorite arrangement to fit your mood.
